The Learning Research Institute (LRI) was established in 2001 by founding director Dr. James C. Kaufman. The mission of the LRI is dedicated to help foster academic and community activities tied the student learning experience, centered at California State University, San Bernardino. Intended to serve our local campus and the surrounding community, the Institute conducts and funds research related to student learning, sponsors a invited speaker series that has brought world-renowned academics and learning practitioners to campus, and serves as a resource for faculty, students, and community members interested in the worlds of learning, intelligence, motivation and creativity.
